Getting Outdoors is Healthy

The good thing about having a new puppy is having to go outside a lot. In the past month, I've been on more walks than I have in the past year and a half. I had forgotten how good it is to get outside, even for 5 minutes. Getting outside gets you out of your mind, shifts your energy and changes your mood. Sometimes I think we get stuck in a rut, staying inside the house, sheltered from out of the ordinary experiences. Getting outside, going to a walk, going to the park and sitting, puts us in a different element. The greenery helps shift our energy. Seeing the movements of other people, strangers, changes our focus, gets us outside of our own life. We move out of the tunnel vision of our day to day life and realize there is a bigger world out there - a whole life waiting to be explored.
